As I was working on my final papers, a friend asked, "can you believe that we still have war?" Unfortunately, yes, yet a t the same time, I don't cringe at the thought. War is a natural consequence of our human nature, in its good and bad. Logically, we would never have war. Doing something that will get you will get you killed is illogical. Yet we still do it. Why? Because we are able to believe in something greater than our selves. It is this belief that allows us to wage war, love others, kill in the name of an idea, believe in God or whatever entity, believe in nothing, and even to live our lives in happiness. I may sound heartless, and entirely ignorant, but if having war is a necessary by product of everything else that comes with believing, than I might be tempted to say that it's a fair price for everything else the ability to believe gives us.
